As we usher in a brand new year, we are pleased to introduce our different capital expenditure projects that are presently being undertaken to improve our supply and quality of service.

Firstly, the re-development of the new well in barangay Barretto was completed just recently. This well increased significantly the volume of water being supplied to this barangay, has suffered from intermittent to no water at all particularly in high grounds for many years.

Secondly, as a continuing effort to give water to the highly elevated areas of Barretto, rehabilitation of main water pipes at Brisas was done. A new 712 meters of 8-inch diameter pipe was laid to replace the existing heavily corroded and dented old pipes. Moreover, plan for the use of the inactive water reservoir is being pursued to ensure that the residents, which are living on the higher mountain slopes in Barretto, can be reached by water.

Thirdly, the construction of new gravity filters at the Mabayuan Plant. This new facility will replace the existing filters that were erected in the 1940s. With its completion, an additional 19,000 cubic meters of water will be supplied to Olongapo customers.

Finally, renewed strategic efforts are being performed to reduce non-revenue water by intensifying leak detection and repairs and doing vigorous operations to apprehend water pilferers. Subicwater has recently reinforced its leak teams and has fielded its entire management team in a once a month nightime activity aimed at finding leaks and pilferers in the 17 barangays of the City. Initial focus are barangays West & East Bajac-bajac, Sta. Rita, New Kalalake, and Gordon Heights where non-revenue water is high. Other barangays willl follow.

Beyond these, we could further improve our level of service if we work together as partners.
