Subicwater gives notices to all Owners/Operators of Restaurants, Canteens, Hotels & other establishments in the Freeport using oil & grease in their operations NOT TO DISPOSE OIL & GREASE DIRECTLY TO OUR SEWERLINES.

Oil & Grease is one of the major causes of clogging problems in our sewerlines which also results to odor problems. The first to be affected will be the sewerline nearest the area where the solidified oil & grease was discharged, clogging the sewerline. This means, that if an establishment stated above is operating without a proper grease tap, that establishment will experience constant problems with the sewerlines as well as other establishments in the area serviced by the same sewerline.

 

Too much oil & grease in the wastewater is considered as industrial strength wastewater and not domestic type wastewater. A proper grease tap should be used and maintained for this.

Please coordinate with the SBMA Ecology Center, Public Works Technical Services Group and Subicwater for proper connection to our sewerlines.
