Hourly samples are taken at the treatment plants and tested for turbidity, color, pH, mineral content, hardness, electrical conductivity, and other parameters.
Daily samples are taken from various sampling points within Olongapo City and Subic Bay Freeport and subjected to bacteriology testing as well as analysis for chlorine content and pH.
Test results are analysed against World Health Organization Guidelines for Drinking Water Quality and the Philippine National Standards for Drinking Water.
This monitoring allows the treatment processes to be adjusted to ensure that the water supply is always safe, clean and clear. A copy of test results is also submitted to the City Health Office in Olongapo and the Ecology Department of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority for their review.
Aside from this monitoring, customers can also request Subicwater to test water quality from their tap, free of charge.
