Manpower productivity is better this year with a record of 5.3 staff per ‘000 connections as compared with the 5.8 ratio last year. The objective of developing personnel with the overall competency level in the areas of technical and conceptual skills remains to be the direction of our competency enhancement program.
About
430 mandays have been allocated for manpower development this year compared
to 372 days last year.
The informal skills program such as livelihood training, sports tournament, driving and even personality development are some of the activities designed to create a balance living for associates.
We also have some ‘inter-active’ ploys to encourage pro-activeness
and initiative among people: quality circles, quality time with the management,
good housekeeping competition, vegetable garden competition, etc.
